Singapore Public Transport in the Early 50s.




An elegant Bullock cart as a form of public transport in those more leisurely days.








Horse Cart was also one of the mode of transport in the 50s.





This is a Trolley bus used o train driver seen plying along Serangoon Road in the early 50s.




These are the early photos of the 50s - Trishaw and Rickshaw along Bras Brasah Road. The Trishaw is still available in its original look and is now used to ferry tourist for sight-seeing.



This is the traffic situation along Kallang Gas Work, presently is located at the junction of Lavender Road and Victoria Street.


The traffic condition at South Bridge Road in the 50s. You could see 2 policemen wearing boggy khaki short pant and a tropeed traffic police in white uniform. In the background is the trolley bus and those vintage Austin Cars.
