The Kangxi Emperor Treasures from the Forbidden City.




Succeeding his father Emperor Shunzhi at the tender age of eight, Xuan Ye, better known as the Kangxi Emperor is widely acknowledged as being one of China's greatest emperors. Reigning from 1662 to 1722, he consolidated Manchu rule over China, thereby expanding the Chinese empire. An astute ruler, skilled warrior, keen scholar and patron of the arts, the Kangxi Emperor's many achievements can be attributed to his passion and competence in his various roles.

The Emperor's Treasures will be shown from 15 March 2009 till 14 June 2009 at Asian Civilisations Museum. Admission is $8.00 per adult. Opening Hours : Mon - 1.00pm to 7.00pm, Tues to Sunday is from 9.00 am to 7.00pm except on Friday with extended time till 9.00pm.

Every Monday from 1.00 pm to 7.00pm is opened FOC to Senior Citizens aged 60 and above. AND every Friday from 7.00pm to 9.00pm is half price i.e $4.00 for Adult.
