Playground with Fitness Corner @ Block 39 Cambridge Road

The upgraded Children Playground with Fitness Corner, behind Block 39 and 40 Cambridge Road is completed now, and opened to residents from 30 March 2011.

So do bring down your children and the elderly to see what sort of exercises these equipment can provide.

Moulmein Brisk Walking Club has started registration for residents who regularly brisk walking around our estate. The club will organising a monthly outing to parks and conducting regular health talk and health screening for members.

Minister Lui announced New Pek Kio Community Centre at ...........

RADM Lui Tuck Yew and A/Prof Jaacob Ibrahim unveiled the design of the new Pek Kio Commuity Centre during the Ministers' Visit to Pek Kio Food Centre on 27 March 2011.



The new Pek Kio Community Centre will be located on the ground of Farrer Park Primary School. This is done to optimise land use in the area. This new CC is scheduled to start work from mid 2011 and completed by the first quarter of 2013.



The new Community Centre is a 4-storey building which will replace the existing Pek Kio CC at Cambridge Road. The facilities include an indoor sports hall housing 4 badminton courts – to be administered by the school, and other modern facilities such as 200-seat Performance Theatre, Music room and Dance Studio.

Residents can now looking forward for a more exciting activities in the new CC.

Kranji Countryside Farms Tour

80 residents from Moulmein Owen visited the Kranji Countryside Farms on 19 March 2011. The farms include Vegetables Farms at Sungei Tengah, Fish Farm and Organic Wheatgrass Farm at Neo Tiew Crescent.

The tour ended with a lunch treat at The Dragon Restaurant before headed home.

Mass Birthday Potluck Party

32 members of Moulmein Owen Senior Citizens Club gathered at its RC centre to celebrate Mass Birthday Party on 15 March 2011. It is a Birthday Party in a Potluck way. Participants brought along their home cook foods to share among participants.

2011 Lunar New Year Hongbao Distribution

The above Lunar New Year Hongbao Distribution 2011 was held at Block 47 Owen Road, Chong Hwa Tong Senior Activity Centre on 8 January 2011 at noon time.

The Guest-of-honour, RADM(NS) Lui Tuck Yew, Minister for Information, Telecommunication and the Arts gave Hongbao and goodie bags to those elderly residents attending the event. All guests and recipients were also treated for a Vegetarian Lunch at Chong Hwa Tong Seniors Activity Centre.
