Owen SCCs'Mass Birthday Party

More than 30 members from Moulmein Senior Citizens Club gathered at Owen RC Centre to celebrate their birthdays on 22 June 2010. This party is organised for members birthday which falls in the month of April, May and June.

All the cooked food are brought down by participating members, many are home cooked food. We called this, Pot-luck Birthday Party, and is held once every three months to celebrate for others birthday members.

Owen Residents @ Marina Bay Sands

Residents of Moulmein Owen RC's estate visited Marina Bay Sands Singapore and its Shopping Arcade cum Convention Centre on 20 June 2010.

All 90 participants walked across the 300 metre stretch of Helix Bridge at 10.00am followed by a brief visit to Marina Bay Sands Hotel. Unfortunately, the Sky Park at the top storey (57th) of Marina Bay Sands Hotel has yet to open to the public else it would be another panoramic sight worth visiting.

There is an admission charges for guided tour to Sky Park from 25 June 2010. The tour commenced from 1.00pm, 2.00 pm and 3.00pm. Visitors can obtain the tickets at any of the time-slots they prefer with a fee.

Children : $14.00

There is also another time-slot for 6.30 pm to view sunset at the Sky Park.

The visit concluded with a lunch at Marina Centre, at own expenses, before returning home.

Universal Studios Singapore - Hollywood After Hours

Universal Studios Singapore - Hollywood After Hours is opened to public every Friday from 7.00 pm to 10.00 pm for a cost of $2.00 per admission. These tickets only on sale on that day from 6.30 pm and does not include of park ride and movies shows. However, movies shows ticket can also be purchased separately or together at the admission ticket booth.

The park also strictly disallowed outside food to be brought in.

During the evening the entrance to the rides are blocked out. And during this promotion period the admission ticket can be exchanged for a $2.00 discount at Hollywood China Bistra or at KT's Grill. Hence if you will to eat at these 2 restaurant your admission ticket is free but the food there are quite pricey.
